Norwich Township (population 11,000)provides the perfect mix of picture perfect scenery, rich farmland, winding rivers and charming small towns. The township is made up of several communities including Oxford Centre, Curries, Holbrook, Springford, Norwich and Otterville. Tour the countryside, and take in the historic sites, shop the farms, stay the night and visit our local artisans and shops. The north end of Norwich Township is home to the small villages of Burgessville and Oxford Centre. Located on Highway 59, the village of Burgessville and area is home to several food producers.
While driving the country roads look for farmgate stands, garden centres and towards Oxford Centre- you-pick berries. Visit the Ross Butler Agricultural Studio, see a beehive demonstration at Oxford Honey and be sure to visit Gunn’s Hill Artisan Cheese, a two-time Canadian Cheese Gran Prix Champion. After touring the area, continue your drive down highway 59 to Norwich (minutes away).
